Artsy day :)

Mylee drew the 4 phases
of metamorphosis for science.
I don't think it is the right season
to get butterflies and watch them change
but we're looking into it.

Shea created a totem pole that
should in theory reflect who we are so that
we can proudly display it outside of our home.
This was his social studies project yesterday.

Mylee was having a "homeschool is lots of work" moment this morning. I assured her that she was right. LOL Work hard and play hard. I told her she could catch a 6:30am bus to Eastside if she really prefers....then Dad showed up with Shipleys donuts. I kindly reminder her that that was a perk that only happened at "Luv and Learning." It was just the motivation we needed to put a little hop back into her step!

In Science Mylee has been studying animals and their needs. For her science experiment today she tried picking up various foods with different bird "beaks" (clothespin, chopsticks, spoon, pliers etc) and recorded which one was the best tool for which foods. It was too fun for Shea to resist. He had to get in on the fun too.

For lunch today we had ramen noodles, applesauce
and chocolate graham gold fish. :)

The kids also were able to paint their artifacts and mounds that they created for Shea's social studies class last week. It was a colorful Thursday to say the very least!
